The music of Nintendo games make them truly remarkable and memorable. To show our love of the music, every Friday we share a selection of tracks from various Nintendo titles, new and old.
This week, we have a couple of characterful themes from characterful characters from GameCube titles… and one iconic Game Boy tune from a certain block-related puzzle game to finish!
Do ya disagree with featurin’ this tune from the original Animal Crossing? I sure hope not, ’cause that’d be bad. For you, punk. You think I ain’t gonna do anything about it? WRONG! If ya don’t like this music, there’s something wrong with ya! YOU’LL PAY! NOW SCRAM!!! (…Onto the next piece!)
The Great Peekoe is a con artist in Chibi-Robo!, but is bad enough at it that you can earn money from her (or him…?). Peekoe’s theme is one of the best pieces in the Chibi-Robo! soundtrack. A Chibi-Robo! title can be more than an uninspired 2D platformer — as this game shows.
Tetris’s Theme A is one of the most catchy tunes from any game; it certainly contributes to the iconic game’s famously addictive nature — so it’s a perfect way to end this week’s NintyBeats!
So that wraps up another week’s NintyBeats! I hope you enjoyed the choices this time.
If you would like to have a certain piece featured next week, please post it in the comments!
