About Leon Fletcher

I am a huge Nintendo fan, hence why NintyBuzz exists. I especially love all things Zelda and Metroid. NintyBuzz was started by me back in the Summer of 2014, it started out mainly as a hobby, though the site has gradually grown, and I hope it grows for many years to come!

NPUK X SMM2 Building the Kingdom – Luigi’s New Mansion

Nintendo communities from around the United Kingdom are once again looking for the best creators from around the nation in a brand new Super Mario Maker 2 level creation competition.

Today’s commission comes from none other than Big Boo himself. With Luigi currently exploring the ghastly halls of Last Resort, Big Boo thought Mario’s weakling of a… ahem, I mean STRONG brother should really go back to his roots by building a great big mansion full of great horrors delights.

We all know just how much Luigi loves the Boos, so this mansion should be full of them. Big Boo is also sure that Luigi would very much appreciate the complexity of haunted architecture so much so he would get completely ‘lost’ in the design. Finally, it is well known that Luigi is fond of magic, so it’s only right to make the expected unexpected.

If you’re feeling really creative and daring, you don’t necessarily have to use the ghost house theme… you could, for example, build a haunted pyramid themed mansion!

You’ll have until Monday 14th October 17:00 UK time to submit your level to your local NPUK Community. Don’t know where your’s is? You can use this tool to find out now! The top two levels from each community, shortlisted by an elusive judging panel, will then go into a national vote, where the top three levels will claim victory, as well as a sweet little prize!

Find out more about this competition here, and best of luck to you all!

Introducing Ring Fit Adventure

Last week, Nintendo teased a brand new experience for Nintendo Switch that involved Nintendo Switch owners performing various types of physical activity with special ring and strap accessories. Today, we finally got a proper first look at this experience… Ring Fit Adventure!

Ring Fit Adventure introduces a brand new way to get active for Nintendo Switch in an adventure game like no other. In the main story mode, you’ll be travelling through different worlds and fighting many enemies to eventually go head to head against the muscular bodybuilding dragon, Drago.

The accessories will allow the JoyCon to transfer all your movements directly into the game. Jogging on the spot with the special strap attached to your thigh will tell your character to move forwards, whereas the RingCon will allow you to jump, performs power attacks, check your heart rate and so much more.

Outside of adventure mode, you can also play a range of different minigames or even take on a set of different workouts. There’s also a quiet mode that will alter your experience so you do not disturb anyone at night.

REVIEW – Dragon Quest Builders 2

Just because you have defeated a leader filled with an immense dedication to destruction doesn’t necessarily mean its malice won’t linger. Evil has its way of sticking around, like that stubborn, yet questionable, stain on an old dish rag. Luckily, wherever there is hope, there will always be a potential for the creation of a delightful, new world, even if you have to build it up block by block.

Dragon Quest Builders 2 follows the quest of three unlikely friends to rid the world of its destructive ways, and return the passion of building back to the residents that had it squished from by a horrid cult. Does this RPG building sequel have a sturdy foundation to sit on, or does it crumble more than poorly mixed concrete? Find out in our review, after the break…

…then, morning comes…
