About Leon Fletcher

I am a huge Nintendo fan, hence why NintyBuzz exists. I especially love all things Zelda and Metroid. NintyBuzz was started by me back in the Summer of 2014, it started out mainly as a hobby, though the site has gradually grown, and I hope it grows for many years to come!

NPUK – Interview With the Princess of the Wild

A couple weeks ago, we told you about Nintendo Player UK’s interview with the voice talent behind the champions from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. More recently however, NPUK were graced by the presence of royalty, Patricia Summersett, the regal voice behind Princess Zelda of Breath of the Wild.

Rocket League’s Tournament Update Races to Switch Soon

Thanks to the recent European Spring Sale on the Nintendo eShop, I recently started getting into Rocket League, and it looks like now is the perfect time to join the party. Rocket League’s upcoming Tournament Update is launching next week, across all supported consoles, including the Nintendo Switch.

On the 3rd April 2018, Rocket League will be adding a brand new mode, Tournament Mode. With this mode, you will be able to easily create your own tournaments as well as join them. You can also set specific rules and restrictions, such as the Game Mode and Rank Levels.

The update will be including a bunch of other new features too. These include the ability to more easily sort through your Garage inventory, equipping specific car body parts to orange and blue, and in-game quality status indicators.

If you’re like me and own Rocket League for the Nintendo Switch, the update will include even more features. Wish you had a way to quickly capture and upload a sweet goal or an evil demolition? The new update will now allow you to take 30 second video captures with the JoyCon capture buttons. Additionally, if you appreciate some more detailed graphics, the update will also allow you to ‘Switch’ between Performance and Quality modes.

As it currently stands, the current default is Performance mode which runs at a steady 60FPS with a bit of a sacrifice from the graphics. If you do not mind 30FPS, then you can switch to Quality mode which will lock the resolution at 1920×1080 (docked) or 1280×720 (handheld).

The Tournament Update will go live for Rocket League on Tuesday 3rd April 2018.

Bestkey Powercase for Nintendo Switch

We do not usually post about peripherals and other accessories, but this idea has definitely piqued my interest. The China based tech company, Futurepath Technology, recently started a new line of charging peripherals by the name of Bestkey.

Their next upcoming product is the Powercase for Nintendo Switch. Let’s be honest, it’s a bit of a drag that the Nintendo Switch can only get a maximum of four to five hours of play max while on portable mode. It seems the Powercase however aims to alleviate this issue however.

The Powercase may primarily be a 10,000 mAh portable charger, but the device also seems to be a grip to make the Switch more comfortable to play on the go. It also comes equipped with an attachable stand if you’d like to play with friends, or if you are just fed up with holding it, all while being able to charge it up too.

It definitely seems like quite an interesting accessory for the Switch, there have definitely been times where I wish I had more juice to play Breath of the Wild, or Resident Evil. However, with the recent discovery of the console possibly purposely making it difficult to use third-party chargers and docks, the Powercase may be for naught.

There’s no current release date announced for the Powercase, though you can sign up through it’s website here!

How does it look to you? Is it something you’d be interested in?
