REVIEW – Kirby: Planet Robobot

Kirby, the pink, floaty, fluffy, ball of dangerous cuteness is back once again on Nintendo 3DS. This time, Pop Star is under attack by a new mechanical threat, but even if Kirby looks cute on the outside, we all know that if you even accidentally knock him down, it’ll come right back at ya! Absorb abilities, save Pop Star, and kick butt in the new robot armour in Kirby: Planet Robobot for 3DS.

Will Kirby: Planet Robobot shine for Pop Star, or does it come with a rusted exterior. Find out in our review, after the break!

OPINION: What we want from Nintendo NX

As it stands, we are completely in the dark about the NX other than it comes out next Spring and it will include Zelda Wii U in the launch line-up. Seeing how the console is planned to debut in just over ten months, a lot of gamers are growing concerned with exactly what the NX is, or if Nintendo will be able to recover from the commercial failure of the Wii U (which is still a brilliant console). How powerful is it? Is it a hybrid? Will it use cartridges? We are all clueless!

Today, I’ve compiled a list of features and ‘things’ which I believe could make the NX a success, as well as some personal desires, think of it as a NX wish list. Check them out, after the break!

Zelda U Delayed, NX Release and More! – Annual Earnings Announcement

Nintendo held their Annual Earnings Announcement earlier today, and along with updates regarding their earnings from the past fiscal year. The Kyoto based company also dropped some mini bombshells regarding the NX, the Wii U successor that has been shrouded in secrecy, and the next release in the Zelda series for Wii U, which always seems to come out next year.

Check out the press release, along with some of my opinions, predictions, and random mumblings after the break!

REVIEW – Mario and Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games (3DS)

Team Mario and Team Sonic, they’ve been to Beijing, they’ve been to Vancouver, they’ve been to London, they’ve been to Sochi, and now, they’re heading to Rio in Mario and Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games! Choose which gym you’d like to compete with, either Mario or Sonic, then train, compete, and go for gold. You may want to be careful, however, as certain somebodies may just have a few tricks up their sleeves to halt the games altogether!

Will Mario and Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games for Nintendo take home the gold, or will it not even qualify? Find out in our review, after the break!

REVIEW – Hyrule Warriors Legends

Throughout many generations, the kingdom of Hyrule has always been destined to fall into an era of darkness. From the war that Demise declared, to the Twilight that the land succumbed to, Hyrule has seen it all, though light has always found a way to prevail. But just what would happen if three tragedies in time were to intertwine, creating a rip in time and unleashing an unnamable evil. That’s where Hyrule Warriors Legends comes in.

Hyrule Warriors Legends is a 3DS remake of the 2014 Wii U title, but will Legends cash in lots of Rupees, or will it fall faster than Termina’s moon? Find out in our review, after the break!

Pokemon Direct Scheduled For 26th/27th February

It’s been a good long while since we got to hype over a brand new Nintendo Direct, but the wait is finally over – as long as you have an interest in Pokemon, that is.

Nintendo have announced a new Pokemon Direct for February 26th/27th. In Japan, this will be on none other than Pokemon Day – the 20th Anniversary of the release of the games that started it all.

  • USA (PST) – 7AM, 26th February
  • UK (GMT) – 3PM, 26th February
  • Europe (CET) – 4PM, 26th February
  • Japan – (JST) – Midnight, 27th February
  • Australia – (Canberra) – 2AM, 27th February

Given the recent hype around the juggernaut series, as well as the length of time since the last release, the odds must be good that we’ll see a new main series title announced. But will that game be the almost inevitable Pokemon Z, or perhaps it could be the dawn of a brand new generation? There’s also a good chance we might hear more about the long awaited Pokemon Go, but of course we’ll have to wait and see.

And you never know, if a new main series game ends up as a launch title for the handheld portion of the NX, we might even end up getting that long awaited HD home console game. We can always dream…
