NintyBuzz @ EGX 2015: The Writeup

About two weeks ago, I attended EGX 2015 at the NEC Birmingham, the biggest UK gaming event of the year. The venue was packed with games, gamers, and miscellaneous (I think I may have spotted a Deku Scrub in the crowd).

Check out our write-up of the even (as experienced on the Sunday) after the break!

REVIEW – Animal Crossing Happy Home Designer

Over its legacy, Animal Crossing has added many drastic new features to the franchise, such as being able to visit a new city full of new life and shops in ‘Let’s Go To the City’, and being the mayor of your own town in ‘New Leaf’, however the gameplay has pretty much remained the same.

In comes ‘Happy Home Designer’, a spin off to the Animal Crossing games. In this game, you become a new interior designer for Nook’s Homes where your job is to create fantabulous new homes for the residents of your town.

Is Happy Home Designer a job well done, or is it just full of cowboy builders? Check out our review after the break!

NintyBuzz @ EGX 2015

EGX (formerly Eurogamer Expo) is the biggest gaming event in the United Kingdom which takes place every September, and we are happy to announce that we will be returning to EGX this year, though this time the event will take place at the NEC Birmingham. Attending EGX will allow us to try out some of the latest and upcoming games and more.

Some of the games that Nintendo will be showcasing this year are Super Mario Maker, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, Pokemon ORAS, Chibi-Robo Zip Lash, Animal Crossing Happy Home Designer, Triforce Heroes, Star Fox Zero, and Xenoblade Chronicles X!

I will be attending on Sunday 27th September from noon, so if you see me around, be sure to say hi and grab a few StreetPasses from me! Expect to see a write-up and some gameplay videos too after!

Weekend NintyBeats — The Third Legendary Mega Snake Party

The music of Nintendo games make them truly remarkable and memorable. To show our love of the music, every Friday we share a selection of tracks from various Nintendo titles, new and old.

This week’s NintyBeats is unique. Not only are all three pieces from third-party titles, they are also all total rip-offs of James Bond. Not that that’s a bad thing. From James Bond in the jungle, to James Bond in a factory, to James Bond underwater, all three represent different perspectives of Bond rip-offery…

Weekend NintyBeats — The Time-Travelling Tennis Ranger

The music of Nintendo games make them truly remarkable and memorable. To show our love of the music, every Friday we share a selection of tracks from various Nintendo titles, new and old.

This week’s NintyBeats reaches out to two lesser-known spin-offs in Nintendo’s most giant franchises, and pulls them out of the shadows to throw their best music your way. Then we travel back in time to 1998 and arrive in a certain temple…
