Metroid Prime: Federation Force AMAA Answers

Metroid Prime: Federation Force came out today in Europe. If you aren’t sure whether or not to purchase the title, we hosted a Ask Me Almost Anything last week on the forums. Any questions you had, we answered them, and though it was a fairly quiet, there were still some interesting questions I didn’t even think about in our review (which you can view here).

You can see all the questions asked by the community after the break!

Metroid 30th Anniversary – A Retrospect

30 years ago today, Samus Aran set off on her first adventure on the NES, where she explores the depths of Zebes to stop the Space Pirates from exploiting Metroid lifeforms for their own devious agenda. Since then, she has been an influential game character due to the representation of her gender. She is independent, strong, and a badass bounty hunter who has even wiped out entire species and destroyed planets!

To celebrate 30 years of the series, I produced this little retrospect video which showcases some of her best moments over three decade run of the series. Let’s hope it doesn’t end there and there are many more years to come. Enjoy!

Shout out your favourite Metroid moments in the comments below! (Please make comments via the article thread on the forum as we are experiencing some technical difficulties regarding commenting)

Pokémon GO – Impressions

What to say about Pokémon GO. Well it’s a mobile game, that’s never a good first impression for me since there are barely any mobile games I both play and enjoy, the only ones I can think of are Tiny Tower and Neko Atsume, both of which provide about as much depth as a swimming pool filled to the brim with drowned lifeguards.

Read my impressions on the mobile title after the break!

Nintendo at E3 2016 Video Blowout

Yesterday was a long day, and after being overwhelmed by The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and making the seemingly bad choice of  catching up with Wayward Pines before bed, I am fully now rested and am able to share more goodies from Nintendo at E3… from other people, who were actually at E3.

Beyond the door to the wilds (i.e. after the break), there are various videos from Nintendo’s bustling E3 day. Be prepared for gameplay, booth tours, Zelda galore, all you have to do is click read more!

The Community’s Fondest E3 Memories

Nintendo’s E3 event is nearly upon us, but before we begin, we thought we would look back at the many years of E3 and pick out our fondest. We’ve had our ups, our downs, and the right out bizarre, but we all have our favourite moments.

We asked our community, and they answered, and some of them were also lucky enough to win some Amiibo figures. Check out some of our fondest E3 memories after the break!

Weekend NintyBeats – Kickstarted Platforming Goodness

The music of Nintendo games make them truly remarkable and memorable. To show our love of the music, every Friday we share a selection of tracks from various Nintendo titles, new and old.

With Yooka-Laylee shaping up pretty nicely (as you can see from the most recent trailer), it reminds me of other Kickstarters I have backed which are also in the Banjo-Kazooie spirit. So this week’s NintyBeats will focus on just that. Be prepared to be blown away by tracks from Yooka-Laylee and two other Kickstarted platformers, plus an exclusive (almost) reveal… after the break!

Weekend NintyBeats – You’re a Squid Now!

The music of Nintendo games make them truly remarkable and memorable. To show our love of the music, every Friday we share a selection of tracks from various Nintendo titles, new and old.

“YOU’RE A KID NOW! YOU’RE A SQUID NOW! You’re a kid! You’re a squid! You’re a kid! You’re a squid!” It’s been a year since Splatoon sunk the conventions of a shooter game for Wii U, and to shellebrate, we are dedicating this week’s NintyBeats to the cephalopod fuelled action with it’s freshest tunes the world has ever seen… after the break!
