REVIEW – Elea: Paradigm Shift

“What’s going on?” asks Dr. River Elea Catherine Jones as she’s being sucked into pillars of sporadic light in the game named after her.

Countless times during a brutally boring and confusing four hours, I was asking myself that same question. And my tired eyes and disappointed spirits weren’t worth getting an answer to that question. Click to read more about what we thought of Elea: Paradigm Shift for Nintendo Switch.

REVIEW – Heave Ho

There’s something freeing about the indie game industry. Maybe it’s because the gamer doesn’t have to worry about the often $60, 100-plus-hour commitment of AAA titles. Maybe it’s because what’s mainstream and popular doesn’t have to be plastered all over the brand of a new game.

Or maybe, in the case of Heave Ho, it’s because Le Cartel Studio is offering the most hilarious couch co-op in recent memory! Make the jump to read our full review!

REVIEW – Dr. Kawashima’s Brain Training for Nintendo Switch

Even though we are nearly a month into the New Year, there may still be some, myself included, who are still zombified from the festive period. Luckily, Nintendo’s first game of the new decade is here and it aims to sharpen your brain in minutes a day with Dr. Kawashima’s Brain Training for Nintendo Switch.

Will a game with such a lengthy title truly provide you with a boosted brain, or is it pure drivel that will turn your brain to mush? Find out in our review, after the break!

How old is YOUR brain?

REVIEW – Must Dash Amigos

To win, one must survive. To survive, one must dash. To dash, one must eat many bean burritos… okay, I made that last one up, but in the world of Must Dash Amigos, every little helps to get the upper hand, even if you have to suffer from intestinal discomfort from eating too many burritos!

Must Dash Amigos is the debut battle racer from miniBeast studios, a Mexican themed local multiplayer where you ‘must dash’ to win. Is Must Dash Amigos fresher than freshly prepared guacamole, or will it cause more pain than a three day old spicy enchilada? Find out in our review, after the break!

Review – SuperEpic: The Entertainment War

SuperEpic: The Entertainment War is absurd. I feel that getting this out of the way is important as the game doesn’t hide behind absurdity in any way. It uses it to exaggerate issues within the games industry to tell a cutting commentary on the state of games as a service, microtransactions and the lack of concern for quality; only the profit margins matter. Of course this doesn’t affect the whole industry, but SuperEpic proposes the idea of these harrowing practises taking over to form an Orwellian dystopia with a brainwashed society that only works, plays and spends, doomed to repeat this cycle forever.

REVIEW – New Super Lucky’s Tale

I had high expectations for New Super Lucky’s Tale after I named it my favorite game I played at E3 2019 earlier this year. The developers expressed themselves as a passionate team wanting a second chance to make Super Lucky’s Tale, which originally released on Xbox One in autumn 2017, the most refined 3D platformer it could be.

Did the second chance pay off with New Super Lucky’s Tale on Nintendo Switch, or should Lucky burrow into hiding? Make the jump and dive into the Book of Ages to read more!

REVIEW – Luigi’s Mansion 3

When booking a hotel, there are various factors you have to consider. Do they have comfy beds? Will you get a room with a view? What’s the food like? Are the owners manically trying to trap you and your friends in a painting… forever? You can never be too careful with these things and, unfortunately, Luigi will learn about this the hard way in his latest spooky adventure.

Is Luigi’s Mansion 3 a title you’ll never want to check out of, or is it just simply not worth raising the dead for? Find out in our review, after the break!
