About a month ago, Nintendo, coy as they are, teased a brand new experience for Nintendo Switch that garnered a lot of curiosity, as well as moments of ‘What the heck are you doing, Nintendo?’ Players and families from around the world in the teaser were investigating this mysterious ring device, and were later seen performing several actions with it.
A week later, the sweaty veil was lifted, introducing Ring Fit Adventure, an RPG game that encourages you to keep in shape. Earlier this week, we had the pleasure of trying out the new experience. Check out what we thought in our preview, after the break!
You’ve no doubt heard of the Untitled Goose Game. Nintendo communities from around the United Kingdom are once again looking for the best creators from around the nation in a brand new Super Mario Maker 2 level creation competition.
Today’s commission comes from none other than Big Boo himself. With Luigi currently exploring the ghastly halls of Last Resort, Big Boo thought Mario’s weakling of a… ahem, I mean STRONG brother should really go back to his roots by building a great big mansion full of great horrors delights.
We all know just how much Luigi loves the Boos, so this mansion should be full of them. Big Boo is also sure that Luigi would very much appreciate the complexity of haunted architecture so much so he would get completely ‘lost’ in the design. Finally, it is well known that Luigi is fond of magic, so it’s only right to make the expected unexpected.
If you’re feeling really creative and daring, you don’t necessarily have to use the ghost house theme… you could, for example, build a haunted pyramid themed mansion!
You’ll have until Monday 14th October 17:00 UK time to submit your level to your local NPUK Community. Don’t know where your’s is? You can use this tool to find out now! In 1872, London, England, a bet was made that one could circumnavigate the globe in a mere 80 days. Such a bold claim for the time, nobody believed it could be done, so the bet was agreed to and Englishman Phileas Fogg set off by train with his French servant, Jean Passepartout, on October 2nd and was to arrive back in London by December 21st. This marks the beginning of the 1873 novel Around the World in Eighty Days, which would follow the adventures of the two men as they successfully travel across the world in the titled eighty days. But this isn’t a review of the novel, instead this is a look at Inkle’s 80 Days, now available on Nintendo Switch, after having been a mobile and PC game beforehand.
Twenty-six years ago, The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening was released for the Nintendo GameBoy, and five years later in a colourised release for the GameBoy Color. Now, the adventure has been reimagined for a new audience with a release on Nintendo Switch, displayed in a three-dimensional widescreen view, compared to the original game’s square ratio. The game retains its traditional top-down formula, and is an enhanced remake of the original, including features from Link’s Awakening DX. But how does it compare to those classic GameBoy games?
With the recent additions of Hero and Banjo & Kazooie to the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate fighter roster — and the impending arrival of Terry Bogard from Fatal Fury and more DLC on the way — Smash Ultimate is by far the biggest crossover in gaming history.
Smash Bros. developers have made it clear in the recent Nintendo Direct and its aftermath that they want to continue to capitalize on how big of a crossover Smash Ultimate has become. The big question remains: just how many different gaming franchises will be represented in Smash once the DLC cycle ends?
