Update – Apologies, the reported date is a Thursday, NOT a Friday.
We don’t usually cover news, but when we do, it’s got to be exciting, and here we are! We may have had a Nintendo Direct at the beginning of the month (not including the Xenoblade Mini-Direct last week), but it seems they think that we already deserve another direct, this time focusing on Splatoon, next Thursday (7th May 2015)
#Splatoon Direct incoming! Join us on @Twitch at 16:00 CEST on 7th May to learn more! http://t.co/yMXwCJgpKT pic.twitter.com/xPMdxl6oqE
— Nintendo of Europe (@NintendoEurope) April 30, 2015
You can expect it to air in various regions as follows:
North America – 10am EST
UK – 3pm BST
Europe – 4pm CEST
Australia/New Zealand – Midnight AEST
Japan – 11pm
No news yet how long this Direct will be, it could just be another mini-Direct, but we’ll be sure to have a discussion about the event soon after.
Splatoon will be released on the 29th May 2015 in Europe and North America.
Well, we have worked hard (mostly) over the weekend for this and we are now ready to reveal… well, what we have been working on, obviously!
Anywho, we are happy to announce NintyTalk! NintyTalk is a brand new feature in which we will have a spontaneous discussion on recent Nintendo and other gaming news. As this is still very early days, so we may be a bit rusty (heck, we’re very rusty) but hopefully, the more we do, the more we should improve.
Now, in this instalment of NintyTalk, we’ll be discussing the NintyBuzz revival, Xenoblade X Mini-Direct, Smash Bros. DLC, Mario Kart DLC, Zelda Wii U Delay and Project Ukulele!
Please tell us what you think of this episode and how we could improve. See you next time!
What a Nintendo Direct. Past presentations have been impressive, but I think today’s edition sets the record for the most stuffed broadcast yet! If you missed any of it, look no further, because here we have a handily compiled list of every announcement, along with links to more details. From Pokemon to Zelda to Xenoblade, all you have to do now is bask in what an incredible year we’ve got in store!
It’s been out in Japan and Australia since last year, but today Nintendo finally confirmed when we’ll be able to get our hands on the New Nintendo 3DS in the west – it will be out on Friday 13th February in the US and Europe!
These dates are not a particular surprise – in fact the US release date was leaked earlier this week via a giant promotional poster. Still, it’s nice to have official confirmation, right?
The new 3DS models have pretty much launched to critical acclaim, so it’s a really exciting time for what still is one of the only mass market auto-stereoscopic devices available. If you aren’t sure whether to upgrade, check out Leon’s in depth review (and when we say in depth, we mean it!) and his hands on videos with his very own ambassador console. Or, if you’re a fan of cardboard boxes, head on over to the unboxing video.
Will you be embracing the New?
Wasn’t that a fantastic stream? In case you missed anything or weren’t able to view the stream, we have compiled a quick overview of everything that was announced during the Smash Bros. Wii U Nintendo Direct.
Check out the details after the break along with the full video!
It is nearly time for today’s Smash Bros. Wii U Live Stream. We were teased that the stream will focus on 50 never before seen things from the upcoming title, so it is likely the stream will be quite long [I predict around 45 to 60 minutes… perhaps more].
Here’s some times so that you know when to watch:
America – 3pm PT (Thursday 23rd October 2014)
Europe – 11pm BST/GMT+1 (Thursday 23rd October 2014)
Oceania – 8:30am ACDT (Friday 24th October 2014)
Check out the Live Feed after the break!
