Nintendo has once again struck with the sudden drop of a Nintendo Direct Mini Partner Showcase, the last one of the year at that.
The big announcements for this Direct would be Bravely Default II’s release date, coming February 26th 2021, the surprise drops of both No More Heroes and No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle on the eShop right now and the announcement of a Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity demo available to download right now too. No More Heroes III is also penned for a 2021 release, after the recent announcement of a delay pushed it back from its initial 2020 launch expectations.
Take it from me, dating can be full of horrors, especially in your early adolescence. What if however, everyone were monsters, and I mean actual monsters, not just a bunch of unruly prepubescent teenagers. Enter Monster Prom, the multiplayer dating sim where your objective is to get a date for prom at your typically wacky monster high school. Play matchmaker on yourself as you try to woo the most wretched, yet lovable, students on campus.
Super Rare Games are giving Monster Prom some extra love, not only are they releasing a 5,000 copy physical edition with the usual game cartridge (with extra content and DLC pre-installed), a fully illustrated manual, and a special trading card and sticker for £27, but a 1,500 copy Collector’s Edition will also be available for purchase. This edition includes a SteelBook case, a 68 page full-colour hardback yearbook with tons of artwork and stickers, a temporary tattoo, a collector’s pin badge, 10 physical instant camera photos, a collectible driving license, a high school diploma, and two packs of trading cards… that’s a lot of gubbins for £75!
You don’t have to wait long to order either as both editions will go up for sale just in time for Halloween this Thursday 29th October from 6pm GMT. As usual, this will be exclusively available from the Super Rare Games website.
Steve and Alex from Minecraft made a surprise visit today as they dig their way to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Sporting a wide array of tools and weapons, they appear to switch between upgradeable gear in the moment as they dig for resources to actively use in battle and upgrade their tools. They also have additional skins for the Zombie and Enderman.
Autumn, the leaves begins to fall, the weather gets chilly, and the next free Animal Crossing: New Horizons update is just around the corner, this time bringing some ghoulish tricks and treats to your island paradise.
Starting from the 30th September, villagers will be able to purchase pumpkin seeds from Leif year-round (or Nook’s Cranny during October), allowing them to grow the festive squash to use in spooky DIY recipes. Throughout the month, Nook’s Cranny will also be selling candy, the Able Sisters will have Halloween costumes ready to order, and the Town Hall will even have frightening make up to exchange for Nook Miles.
When it comes to the big day on the 31st October after 5pm, your fellow residents will gather round the plaza to partake in the Halloween festivities. A rather mysterious fellow, Jack, will also be visiting to provide special in-game rewards in exchange for the cavity inducing candy… be sure to keep some aside for your neighbours though, they may have some brand new reactions to teach.
In addition to the Halloween goodies, this new update will also introduce a favourites list to the Dream Suite as well as an ability to perform reactions from the NookLink app service.
