REVIEW – Metroid Prime: Federation Force

Metroid Prime: Federation Force follows the exploits of a rookie Marine from the Galactic Federation’s Federation Force programme. Initially carrying out research of indigenous creatures, exterminating threats, and collecting data within Bermuda System, soon turns into an intergalactic mission that stakes the very existence of the Federation, and quite possibly life as we know it. This entry in the Metroid series is a first-person, co-operative shooter, which places you, and up to three other friends, in the Federation Force garb.

Though the game has received plenty of backlash in its pre-release, could Metroid Prime: Federation Force actually be an intergalactic adventure to remember, or will it be consumed by the black hole of mediocrity? Find out in our in-depth review… after the break!

REVIEW – Monster Hunter Generations

It’s not easy being a Monster Hunter. The Larinoths are always getting in the way, the Bnahabras constantly think they can take you, and that Great Maccao thinks you’ll do as a nice snack. Monster Hunter is back, and takes everything that is great in the popular monster hunting RPG into one, in Monster Hunter Generations.

Will Monster Hunter Generations take the Astalos’ head as a trophy, or will it be digested into a steamy pile of monster dung? Find out in our in-depth review, after the break!

Pokémon GO – Impressions

What to say about Pokémon GO. Well it’s a mobile game, that’s never a good first impression for me since there are barely any mobile games I both play and enjoy, the only ones I can think of are Tiny Tower and Neko Atsume, both of which provide about as much depth as a swimming pool filled to the brim with drowned lifeguards.

Read my impressions on the mobile title after the break!

REVIEW – Kirby: Planet Robobot

Kirby, the pink, floaty, fluffy, ball of dangerous cuteness is back once again on Nintendo 3DS. This time, Pop Star is under attack by a new mechanical threat, but even if Kirby looks cute on the outside, we all know that if you even accidentally knock him down, it’ll come right back at ya! Absorb abilities, save Pop Star, and kick butt in the new robot armour in Kirby: Planet Robobot for 3DS.

Will Kirby: Planet Robobot shine for Pop Star, or does it come with a rusted exterior. Find out in our review, after the break!

REVIEW – YO-KAI WATCH

Yo, Yo, Yo-kai Watch!
Yo-kai are everywhere, Causing you problems messing up your hair, They’ll trip you up, give you a flat tire, Or make your socks go missing in the dryer.
Yo-kai make mischief anywhere, And you may not even believe they’re there, But let me introduce you to my friend, He’s found a way to connect with them, He’s got a…

Yo-kai, Yo-kai Watch
He’s going to build a supernatural entourage
He can talk to the spirits
He doesn’t have to fear it
And they’re always going to hear it
Cause you know he’s got a Yo-kai Watch

Ahem, now I got that out of the way… the latest Japanese phenomenon from Level 5, YO-KAI WATCH, which has sold over 10 million copies worldwide so far, is finally heading to Europe next week. Nate lives a fairly peaceful life for a 11 year old boy, he goes to school, plays with his friends, and catches bugs for his Summer project. His world is suddenly turned upside down that one day in the woods, now he can see all these mischievous beings known as Yo-kai. What’s worse is that there is an unnerving power which is increasing their disturbance in the Human Realm.

Will YO-KAI WATCH be inspirited for success, or will it stink more than a Cheeksqueek? Find out in our in-depth review, after the break!

REVIEW – Star Fox Guard

While adventuring with Fox McCloud in Star Fox Zero, you may wonder from time to time what the people left behind on Corneria get up to when they aren’t being pillaged but Andronian forces. Fox may have monkey trouble, but Grippy Toad, Slippy’s uncle, has robot trouble. Star Fox Guard, which started off as a tech demo at E3 2014 called Project Guard, follows the day to day routine of Grippy’s newest employee (yes, that’s you) in defending his prestigious mining business, Corneria Precious Metals Ltd.

Will Star Fox Guard be as precious as the metals Grippy mines, or will it be as worthless as a lump of coal? Find out in our review, after the break!

REVIEW – Star Fox Zero

A long time ago, in a galaxy far far away, more specifically five years ago in the Lylat system, James McCloud, leader or the pristine Star Fox squadron, was hired by General Pepper of the Cornerian army to investigate some strange disturbances on planet Venom. Five years have passed, and to fulfil his father’s legacy, Fox McCloud brought Star Fox out of retirement with pilots he can trust and all the latest technology to put a stop to this war once and for all!
