Steve and Alex from Minecraft made a surprise visit today as they dig their way to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Sporting a wide array of tools and weapons, they appear to switch between upgradeable gear in the moment as they dig for resources to actively use in battle and upgrade their tools. They also have additional skins for the Zombie and Enderman.
(more…)Since the January announcement of a second fighters pass for Super Smash Bros Ultimate, Nintendo fans have been eagerly anticipating the unveiling of these new additions to the games already impressive roster. Later, at the end of March, it was announced that the first of these new fighters would be from ARMS, however the development process was delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. This afternoon, Smash Bros director Masahiro Sakurai finally presented the long-awaited details of this new character in full. Read on to find out more.
(more…)As of late, alongside dabbling in island life with Animal Crossing: New Horizons, I have been delving deep into the hearts of criminals to change their evil ways in Persona 5 Royal on Playstation 4. It’s an incredibly meaty game, having already spent over 100 hours in before I’ve even reached its climax, and I would love to share the experience with more people. But there’s just one problem, it’s platform specific to Playstation right now. If you’re reading on this site, there’s no doubt that you definitely have a Switch but probably not a PS4. It seems baffling that Atlus seems to be ignoring the platform outside of smaller titles or the Nintendo published Tokyo Mirage Sessions, there is no doubt in my mind that there is a demand for Persona 5 and other Atlus titles on the platform. So let’s look into the matter, what factors are there in Persona’s favour and what exactly could it be holding it back?
(more…)With the recent additions of Hero and Banjo & Kazooie to the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate fighter roster — and the impending arrival of Terry Bogard from Fatal Fury and more DLC on the way — Smash Ultimate is by far the biggest crossover in gaming history.
Smash Bros. developers have made it clear in the recent Nintendo Direct and its aftermath that they want to continue to capitalize on how big of a crossover Smash Ultimate has become. The big question remains: just how many different gaming franchises will be represented in Smash once the DLC cycle ends?
