REVIEW – WarioWare: Get It Together

By |September 17th, 2021|Review|

QA (Quality Assurance) is one of the most important aspects of any video game (let alone, product); Wario and his developer friends of Diamond City are going to find out just how important in WarioWare: Get It Together. Mischievous bugs and glitches have invaded Wario’s brand new release, causing him and his team to get sucked right up into the game… think Jumanji on a budget! On the bright side, at least they can enjoy the fully immersive experience!

Will WarioWare: Get It Together bring in all those big bucks clamoured for by Wario, or does the game just not quite have it all together? Find out in our review, after the break!

Feature: The Significance of Metroid Dread

By |September 3rd, 2021|Metroid|

During the E3 2021 Nintendo Direct, Nintendo revealed an upcoming title that appears to have come as a surprise and shock to many Nintendo fans. For the first time in nineteen years, they announced a brand new “2D” Metroid title in the long running series.

Metroid Dread, for those uninitiated, is a sequel to Metroid Fusion, which was released on the Game Boy Advance system in 2002. But through all that, some major problems occur which can make or break the experience with alarming regularity. Join us after the break as we discuss some issues and ways to potentially address them.

NintyBeats – Donkey Kong’s 40th Anniversary

By |August 13th, 2021|Weekend NintyBeats|

2021 has been a celebratory year for Nintendo, with many franchises reaching huge anniversary milestones, such as Pokémon’s 25th, The Legend of Zelda’s 35th, and Metroid’s 35th. But Donkey Kong’s 40th anniversary, when it is arguably a franchise that was significant to Nintendo’s place in the video game scene today, was criminally overlooked. Over the past four decades, the series has given us so many great moments, from his original arcade outing, all the way to Tropical Freeze (at the time of writing)!

There are simply too many great musical pieces from the series to list, but below, we have attempted to highlight a few of them.
